Meet the Team

Sophie Brown (2025)

Sophie is the Editor-in-Chief for the Times. Among various other pastimes, she enjoys walking up tight spiral staircases, reading, performing with the Nighthawk Cast, and putting an unusual amount of mustard on her sandwiches.

James Scott (2027)

James is the sports editor for The Nighthawk Times. He writes  “5 Things with James Scott”, a column that analyzes the prospects of Northfield sports teams and Denver’s professional players.  

Enrico Moss (2026)

Enrico is the class of 2026 editor of The Nighthawk Times. He writes about local topics in relation to Denver and Central Park.  

Kate Hartman (2026)

Kate  is the political editor and writes assorted articles for The Nighthawk Times. It is her second year writing for the paper. She is also on the debate team, in Model UN and participates in theater. You will most often find her worrying about something random, watching a pretentious movie, listening to a political podcast or cooking Italian food.

Willa Schneider (2028)

My name is Willa Schneider and I'm a freshman joining the Nighthawk Times as an interviewer and sports writer. Some fun facts about me is that I know how to crochet, I can lift one eyebrow by itself and my favorite food is potstickers.

Alec Cloud (2025)

Sofia is a writer for The Nighthawk Times. They enjoy reading, practicing Jiu Jitsu, and using the oxford comma in their spare time.

Rhiannon Tobias (2027)

Hi, my name is Rhiannon Tobias! I am a current sophomore and am a very miscellaneous author here at The Nighthawk Times. I am a part of the Northfield Girls Swim and Dive team and love all things sports and school spirit! I love to write because I like to learn more about topics relating to our school and I enjoy informing others of these events and what led to their occurrence.

Avianna Rodriguez (2027)

Hello my name is Avianna Rodriguez! I'm a sophomore and one of the school-event writers with The Nighthawk Times. This will be my second year writing for the school newspaper and I'm excited to share all things Northfield with my readers! You can expect reviews on spirit weeks, breakdowns of dances and the occassional "History of..." article. As for fun facts, I love painting, baking and singing. I hope you enjoy my articles this year!

Madeline Ng (2027)

Madeline is a first-year writer for The Nighthawk Times.

Sammy Berman (2024)

Sammy has been writing for TNT since its first edition in 2022. They can be found running Cross Country and Track, as well as advocating for LGBTQ+ rights.

Nathan Bekelman (2024)

Nathan is one of the writers. He enjoys reading books in all areas of literature, from old Russian novels to textbooks. After college, he is hoping to go into medicine.

Jonas Caver (2024)

Many people like to talk about how humble I am. However, I respectfully disagree. I am far too humble to recognize my genius. It is truly tough being at the top. However, I am willing to work with more challenged minds than mine.

Margaret Freeman (2024)

Margaret is the Editor in Chief for The Nighthawk Times. She loves to write and strives to live poetically. She also loves theatre, dance, and reading.

Sienna Shille (2024)

Sienna is the Formatting Editor. She is an avid reader, and enjoys sipping chai by the fire while it rains. When she's not reading, Sienna can be found rock climbing, flying planes, or cramming for her exams.
